My journey begins TODAY!

Hi there!  Newby Penny here!  So my journey to ONEderland begins today and I couldn't be more excited.  Scared.  Nervous.  Happy.  Hopeful.  So, page 1.  A month ago I attended the mandatory seminar required by my surgeon that told the group about the VSG.  I remember sitting there, taking all of the information in, and thinking that maybe there was some home of me not being overweight.  So after the seminar I gave them my insurance information to run to see if it would be approved.  Impatiently, I waited to hear something from the patient coordinator. Very impatiently might I add.  Fast forward to Monday, May 9. I finally got the call I'd begged for, prayed over, paced the floor over, lost sleep over, etc. LOL.  APPROVED!  BCBS APPROVED! HOT DAWG!  Fast forward again to today, May 13.  Consultation day! 1:30pm can't get here fast enough.  I'm not sure what to expect during the consultation, so if anyone can tell me what usually takes place, that would be a huge help.  I'm sure I'll be told more about the surgery, but is there testing, physicals, etc? I'm 200% sure that I'll need the support of this group along the way, just as I'll be here to cheer you all on too.  Looking forward to "meeting and talking" to this wonderful group of people.
