"My first impression of "Fuzz" was..."Boy is he a hottie!" *laugh* Ok, seriously, my first impression was "this guy looks way to young to be such a well known surgeon". After 20 minutes of conversation, I was completely won over that he was the doctor for me. He was completely honest and welcomed all questions regarding his mortality rates and complications that have arisen from surgeries he has performed.
His nurse manager, Susan, is just wonderful. She is very patient and knowledgeable and she has a nice sense of humor. She always gets back to you when you leave her phone messages or send her emails.
The psychiatrist Fuzz uses, Dr. Jeff Smith, is a great guy. He made me feel very comfortable during my psych consult and completed my required paperwork quickly and efficiently.
The nutritionist Fuzz uses, Mary Martha Smoak, is also a nice lady. She was very helpful during my inital consultation. She is a little slow getting the paperwork back to the surgeon because she is a very busy lady, but in the end, everything was in order.
Dr. Fuzz places great emphasis on after care. His patients are required to see both Dr. Smith and Mary Martha each time they see him for the first year after surgery. There is also a monthly support group meeting that is well attended by both pre-ops and post-ops.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give him a solid 10.
