I am a 29 year old mother of 4. I have dieted on and off for my whole life with limited sucsess. I at one point lost close to 100 pounds with the help of Stacker 2 (before they removed the ephedrine). I found that with a very physical job at eating very little I could stay in only slightly over weight but I was always hungry and felt deprived. After losing my job a year ago I gained over 75 pounds! I decided originaly to get the lapband but upon further research and talking to my surgeon I decided on the VSG.I had my surgery at Madigan on Fort Lewis and other than feeling extremley thirsty I had an easy stay after surgery. When I arrived home I couldn't wait to eat some of my frozen homemade broth and way over did it drinking nearly a whole bowl full! Needless to say that night I had to go to the ER as I couldn't stop vomiting and dry heaving, it was excruciating!! After some IV fluids and a big dose of Zofran I was able to return home and did not make that mistake again. I am very happy with my progress so far, I have lost just over 20 pounds in 3 weeks and I still eat sugar if I feel like it! Just not very much and mostly in the form of dark chocolate and Coca Cola. I don't eat any bread or noodles as they get stuck and are just not worth it! I crave protein but it is what I can eat the least amount of. I have found that a soft fried egg white taste great and is just the right amount for my new tummy.
