frustrated at 2.5 weeks post-op with sleeve

May 15, 2011

It seems my weight lost has slowed - I have been stuck at 193 for four days - I know I need more protein and I need to up my walking - I am really week today and I think it is because I do not have alot of protein in - I just hope I can get over the hump - I may go back to protein shakes for the next few days to see if that will jump start me again - I have a goal to be below 180 before I go back to work at the end of May. So frustrated - I know it's better to lose it slow but I get frustrated when I do not see that number on the scale by one pound each day. Any suggestions from those reading blogs out there!

Greetings!

May 11, 2011

Hi All! I am two weeks post-op with my new sleeve. The first two days in the hospital were rought - extreme pain and nausea. Thankfully I have an incredible husband who was there by my side to help me through it all - and my three best gal pals came into visit which lifted my spirits. I am now getting comments on looking like I have lost weight from family and friends who do not know about my WLS journey. It is uplifting to know that my hard work is little by little paying off. I know I am at the second stage of my WLS journey but excited about what the future holds. I just need to remember it takes time and I need to really be kind to my sleeve and use the cues my sleeve gives me about what it can hold and tolerate.  I look forward to making new friends on the Lightweights Forum group.
