Yesterday I called Dr.Spivak's office and talked to Jessica ( What a sweet Person!!) Dr. Spivak said I was a High Risk and that he would not take the Parkland First, Only Tradtional Medicaid or Amerigroup, ABSOLUTELY NO DOCTORS IN DFW WILL TAKE AMERIGROUP!!!!

I WAS IN TEARS!! i WAS SO DEVASTATED!  WHICH IS THE HIGHER RISK??? THE SURGERY OR MY LIFE NOW?
I am starting to call every sleeve doctor on the list. If anyone knows of a sleeve doctor that will accept the ParklandFirst please tell me.  If I switch to traditional I loose 16 precriptions a month which do I give up?  If I switch to any thing except the ParklandFirst they will totally drop me from ALL the doctors at UT Southwestren Medical Center. So I am Screwed no matter which way I go!!!!!!

Right now I am on the second 1 hour phone call to IBM ie>Lenovo !!!!! They have shuffled me around the world twice!

Once I get off the phone with IBM I start calling......................

Today is Wednesday October 21, 2009. The first day to the end of my nine year journey to a permanent solution to my weight problem that I as a 58 year old woman have been fighting since I was 11 years old.
. Today I called theParkland Community Health Plan, Inc they informed ,me that they cover Procedure code 43843 for a Vertical Gasrectomy Sleeve. I found Hadar Spivak MD, in Houston I spoke to Jessica, who told me to down load and pint out the questionnaire, then fax it to the doctor. I did ! now I am waiting to hear back from Hadar Spivak MD. I am afraid to even breathe one word about it, that it will suddenly crumble..........

I have to say the Bariactric surgeons I have spoken to have been some of the worse manners, I have ever seen. So until Doctor Hadar Spivak MD.  Tells me it is all set!  I really must old my breath!!!!


I am going document everyday until I go to surgery & then after until I reach my goal of 115!  I only have to loose 121 pounds!
To save my life!!! I do not believe that I will live another year if I do not have the surgery.

To have my life back and to live to the fullest! I have been both thin and fat and I know the difference in how people treat me,
and I guarantee I want my body and my life back.  If I could do this on my own, I would have done it YESTERDAY!
