my story hmmmm lol are you sure lol...

Ever since I was a child I had those parents who said its on your plate eat it. that never helped in 1989 my parents divorced and I decided to live with my father... boy did he get lazy after the divorce it went from cooked meals to TV dinners not to healthy.... I remember at about 12 years old i looked at a picture possibly about 2 years old and said wow I gained weight i don't like how i look now. so i put my self on a diet with what foods my dad had in the house to eat but I noticed that i continued to gain gain gain. in high school i did sports but kept gaining. I would ask doctors whats wrong i keep gaining they said, "Your fine you just have big bones" then about two years almost 3 years ago i went to see my OBGYN and said look i have these issues whats going on she said i think you have PCOS (poly cystic ovary syndrome) lets do some testing.... so i did then  i rushed home researched my butt off and I said i think Dr. Lee is right. Results came back and sure enough she hit the bulls eye at that point lots of friends and some family had the surgery and I said I want that surgery... So my PCP referred me with no hesitations. Then the BOOM. January 2008 I got laid off work, you got it lost my medical coverage... i was so far in process i had my goal weight and just needed to do the psych evaul. but my dreams for gastric bypass rny were shattered   but i said on the bright side..........  i have a great fiance I'm getting married maybe one day i will get this opportunity.. mean while i went back to wedding planning, stressing and eating... OH BOY gained to 335 the day of my wedding 7/4/08....  i could have kicked my butt... then   July 16, 2008 i got a new job finally and they offered medical but Blue shield I said no way I want Kaiser only... my bosses decided eventually they would take on Kaiser....  wooo hooooo...... but did not know when... so I took a part time job for my moms company to get the Kaiser benefits i paid put of pocket my premium and visits but i did care i was back in the program. but got  shattered again when I called in to get an appt to adjust my goal weight since i gained they said no you gotta be at 283 before surgery and you need to start all the classes over again you have been inactive for more than 90 days i was like WTF. I said forget it. I emailed my PCP and said give me a new referral for South City bariatrics. i got the referral and my weigh in weight was 347 (yep they took it) then the journey started again and went as follows......
  1.12/18/08 orientation class
2. 2/23/09 lifestyle class(2hrs) & nutrition class (2hrs)
3. 3/18/09 psych evaluation
4. 3/25/09 nutritionist appt
5. 5/11/09 medical director meeting (just a doctor checks my medical chart and ask a million questions and gives me    my goal weight she thank god has no bearing on approving me at all! I hated her)
6. 6/3/09 ran a million lab and radiology test
7. 6/4/09 met my surgeon for the first time and got my surgery date since i was close to goal weight
8. 6/30/09 Prue-op class
9. 7/6/09  anesthesia appt
10. 7/6/09 see surgeon do all paperwork
11. 7/6/09 one last blood test
12. 7/8/09 SURGERY DAY!
so as you see by my time line it took almost 7 months for surgery and it was worth it. Now I am 9 days out and i am so excited to see the changes... from this point the rocky wooden roller coaster is all down-hill!
