All Set And Ready To GOOOOOOOO ...
Aug 27, 2009
Yes I have a date!!! 9/8!
I am so excited I am practically counting the minutes! LOL ... not really but close enough. On Wednesday the 2nd I go in for my pre-ad ... after that it is less then a week for my actually surgery.
OMG this has taken so long to get to this point. My initial consult was 6/6/08 ... and I had HOOPS of FIRE to jump through to get my surgery date. After all was done according to the insurance requirements AND I got the OK for the surgery ... the insurance company had me wait over a MONTH PLUS for the actually approval letter! Talk about putting someone through the ag of WAITING! Sheesh! Here I was ... excited about being approved BUT could do NOTHING until the actually letter was received! Sheesh again!
I have to say that once the written word was received ... everything went so fast! Thankfully the 8th is right around the corner because going through 14 months of requirements and waiting to actually get approval have almost taken it's toll! I don't think I would have had the stamina to push approval if ... after all had been complied with I had received a denial. I'm pretty sure I would have just left it at that. Thank God I don't have to speculate about that now.
Well, I will be sure to post soon. Today my daughter and I will go shopping for all the necessary items she will need for boot camp. They gave her a list of what she is required to bring ... and one must stick to EXACTLY what they will allow or ... ELSE! LOL ... actually no laughing matter! She leaves for boot camp Monday the 31st ... and I am filled with excitement for her ... apprehension as any parent would have and PRIDE that she will be giving her all to the country she & I both LOVE!
GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!
Waiting ...
Jul 26, 2009
You know any other time that I waited for anything from the insurance folks ... it usually would get to me w/in 2 weeks ... so I know I should just relax ... I'm sure (praying) that this week will see that letter in my mailbox. I must stay optimistic! I can ... I will! Sheesh I've waited this long to get this far ... I know my new life is just a few steps away. OK so I'm going to just hang in there and let's see I think I will go have a delicious glass of my homemade 'sangria water'! What is 'sangria water' ... well I will tell you ...
I have found that this is a delicious way to get more water into my day. What I do is take a large pitcher and while it is empty I cut up and put into it ... a various mix of fresh cut fruit. You can use ANY kind of fruit. Today's fruit I put in the pitcher is a handful of strawberries sliced ... a fresh ripe peach sliced ... 2 small oranges sliced ... 1 lime sliced ... 2 sprigs of mint leaves ... then pour 1 gallon of spring water into the pitcher ... cover and put in the refrigerator to get nice and cold. It is slamm'in! I have used in the past lemons, watermelon, plums, slightly squished blueberries, mango's and pineapples. I've been looking for fresh spearmint leaves but so far haven't been able to find any ... still looking! Trust me if you love fruit you will love this 'sangria water'! Have a fabulous day and happy sipp'in!
