Alan H. Brader

"Dr. Brader perfomed my weightloss surgery on May 25, 2010. My first impression of Dr. Brader was a no nonsense not gonna BS around kind of surgeon. He tells you how it is. He doesn't sugar coat anything. I love his office staff, they are always so helpful, informative. They answer emails on the weekend. He is very strict about after care. He sees you ALOT afterwards! I have my one year post op coming soon. His after care program is very structured and support group is spectacular. We have monthly meetings which are instrumental in your success. His bedside manner was great after surgery. Surgerical competence was spectacular. I have major issues outside of my WLS and Dr. Brader got me in touch with specialists when all my other dr's were at a loss and had given up. Without Dr. Brader's help I wouldn't have my life back and would be in a wheelchair forever or dead. I owe him my life. I have nothing but GREAT things to say about Dr. Brader and his staff. That may sound suspect to people. But I followed his after care instructions specifically. I understand this is a tool and not a quick fix. You follow his instructions do what your supposed to and he will help you to no end. You try and BS him and he has no tolerance for trying to see if you can "out smart" him. I did have several insufficiencies in vitamins afterward and they worked with me. I take my vitamins but had other unrelated complications that inhibited my absorbtion of them. They knew I was taking my vitamins (they can tell from bloodwork) and they never gave up on me. I died in January 2011 (obviously they brought me back) due to adrenal insufficiencies and Dr. Brader helped me through it. Never gave up, checked up on me eventhough he wasn't my doctor for this issue. So does Dr. Brader care? yes. Is he a great surgeon? yes. Will he support you? YES YES YES "
