I researched gastric bypass for 2 years before I finally made a decision. Dr. Bryan Freeman of Anniston, Alabama performed the surgery along with Tim Barnes. Two of the greatest surgeons I have had the pleasure of meeting. I made the decision because my weight had gotten out of control, my blood pressure was getting worse and I had poor circulation in my legs. But to top it all off acid reflux that I could not manage even with medicine.
The Morning of the surgery I was terrified I was making myself believe that something was going to go wrong. The sugery took about an hour because I was so big I came to around 10 am and I was hurting. The surgical gas was killing me, I was thirsty, and man was I freezing I could not get warm. I thought I had made the worst mistake of my life. But Dr.Freemans team was really helpful my wife took care of me like a champ.But unless you go through with the surgery you will never understand what its like. I still question myself But thats because I have yet to see any weight coming off except on the scales.
Its been 19 days , after 10 days I had lost 30lbs I cant weigh any where but at Dr. Freemans office because he has the heavy duty scales. I am having a lot of nause and pain in my left side due to muscle contractions where they operated the most at. My energy level is still pretty low and Ive been a little depressed. I am sure that with time all that will change atleast I hope...... I'll update again when i weigh again.
