3 weeks and 2 days post op

Mar 13, 2011

 Hey there!
So today I am 3 weeks and 2 days post op. I went through the liquid diet and that was a breeze! It got a little bit hard not being able to eat but well worth it and I lost 21 pounds in two weeks! YES! That's more then a pound a day and blows my mind! I started back at my school, Paul Mitchell East Bay. That was great to see everybody again and a few people even told me they saw a difference in me! Sweet! I love hearing that because I see myself everyday and don't really notice, besides the scale moving and clothes fitting a bit better. That still is an awesome feeling though!
A few days ago I started soft food diet and its not settling well with me. I am throwing up pretty much anytime I try something new that isn't liquid. Meat (even mashed up) is a killer. That stuck feeling HURTSSSS!!!!! Throwing up is the only thing I can do to release that feeling. I tried papaya enzyme today, that didn't really help me either. Soooo looks like its back to soup and super super soft things. Bummer! I am so ready to eat real food again and not being able to is VERY frustrating. I think I'm going to call the doc tomorrow because I feel like this isn't normal and I'm hoping I dint have a stricture. Fix me please!!! haha. I cant believe I'm almost a month post op! Time freakin flies! :)

Finally Posting Post Op :)

Feb 27, 2011

So I am 9 days post op and all is well! My surgery went perfect with no issue at all. SO happy about that. BUT I did feel like I was hit by a high speed truck after. I couldnt walk for about two days. I had HORRIBLE gas pains and really couldnt even move in my bed. At this point I felt like I shouldnt have done this. I knew though that it would get better and I would be ok. So mom and dad forced me to start walking the hospital hall and what do you know, I started to feel better! When they say you need to walk they mean it, it seriously helps. I took it very slow and built my self up. It wore me out and not to mention hurt but I did it anyways and it made such a difference.
Now im 9 days out and back at my apartment able to walk fine and feeling soooooo much better! It still hurts a little bit on my left side when I get up or sit down but other then that im doing pretty damn good!
Ill write more in a bit :)
