I am a 30 year old mother of 1 son. I have always struggled with my weight a little. I was never obese until a few years ago. About 10 years ago I was diagnosed with degenerative disk disease. I have 3 herniated and 2 bulging disks in my back. The first few years it was tollerable and I only had problems if I did something stupid to throw my back out. I partied alot when I was younger and 5 years ago I decided it was time to stop and grow up and that is when I really started gaining weight. The more weight I gained the worse my back got. The worse my back got the less I did and the more weight I gained. I tryed diets and exercise like I am sure everyone else has and they totally don't work. My back doctor started telling me if I didn't loose weight I would need back surgery because there was nothing else he could do to help me except put me on pain meds which I didn't want (being that I was a drug addict that was the last thing I needed!). So I decided that I wanted to get Gastric Bypass surgery which I hope will help me with my weight problem and my back problems.
