I am a 42 year old Navy wife. I was born and raised in Torrance CA, in fact my oldest son Brendon was born in the same hospital.
When he was 2 the Navy decided it was time for us to see the world, or at least a small island. It was off to Guam for the Butler family. Three years and another son later, it was back to the US. We have lived in Bremerton WA for the last 14 years. As I was growning up, my older sister was always the skinny one and I was the chubby one. My weight has gone up and down all my life. I was 298 pounds at my heavest. Having emergency gallbladder surgery was a huge wake up call. I tried several different diet programs and would lose weight, but always gained it right back. In January I made the decesion to have WLS. My PCM was very supportive and I began my journey.
