5/12: Well finally decided that I had to do something about the gain. I joined a diet plan and started at 187.5 (March 11) and now am down to 173 lbs. So its on the downward slope. I had a scare with my thyroid – possible enlargement and problems. UA also showed problems with liver and kidneys – so testing began. All tests come back okay and within normal limits. So onward I push. Dieting isn’t easy – but this menu is more like a diabetic diet/eating plan. No whites (breads, pasta) and more lean meats. Been doing okay on it. I do still crave or want is more like it – the fattier foods. Pizza I do have on occasional so I don’t overeat when I get it. But life is good. As for exercise, I have a bone spur on my heel limiting what I can do for exercise. So hoping to get that under control and begin walking again.
