Things are wonderful! I've been loosing steadily and have been on target. I recently rewarded myself for my 50lb weight loss with a bicycle. The kids love it because we can bicycle ride together. I haven't touched red meat yet, and I don't think I'll go back to it. I'm very proud of my progress. I had to buy some clothes for work and luckily I went with a friend. She had to keep going back and getting me smaller sizes. It was fantastic! From surgery to this date I have lost 57lbs.

It's been nearly one month since I've posted. I've lost 42lbs since my surgery. My clothes don't fit anymore. It's really nice how people notice that I've been loosing weight. I have been honest about the surgery with everyone I know and they are so supportive. I'm very lucky. In a few weeks my husband and I celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. I don't know what we're doing but I do know that I'm a lot happier this year than last year, so whatever we do it will be great! My eating has been good, I haven't had any dumping syndrome. I'm not eating too much. I've met with my nutritionist and we keep in touch via email so she can answer any of my millions of questions at any time. My BMI has gone down to 51.5 it's great! I feel the difference physically!

I haven't posted in a while and although I am still loosing weight I have a concern. I'm concerned that I may be eating too much. I have been eating small meals throughout the day but am not sure if they are small enough. Can someone tell me how to determine if I am eating too much.

My stay at the hospital turned out to be better than I expected. The staff was great, which means a lot during your hospital stay. For pain relief I was given morphine, it made me very dizzy so I could not walk. I requested an alternative medication, and was up and walking within hours. I tolerated the clear liquid diet. Although I must admit that the sweetness of the jello and juices were really getting to me. I was never really into that sweet stuff. It's been 10 days since my surgery. I'm feeling much better than I did. My family has been very supportive and helps above and beyond what I anticipated. I've had few aches due to the surgery, with minimal pain. I'm happy about that. I have been walking as tolerated. I would like to increase my walking but I'm taking it as I can, not to over do it. I'm down 14 lbs which was at my 7 day follow-up. BMI 56.4 from 59.2 so far so good.
