I have been overweight all my life. I had been researching the band since 8/03 because my bosses husband had it and lost alot of weight. He kept telling me to have it done. I wasn't sure if that is what I weanted until May 06, when my 47yo brother fell over dead in the house. He was overweight, high blood pressure, diabetes and was taking care of my mom. Now what to do? I had my mom to think of, so I called for a seminar but missed it. Then called and they said the doctor will have a consult with me. This was in August. He said I am a good candidate for the band and now here I am. Had surgery 10/04/06. I thought I would have my bosses husband to ask all the questions we all have but in November he died. So here I am.
OK, I'm back, 10/22/17, 11 years since my lap-band surgery. I lost 80lb. and gained it back. I am now looking to have another surgery. Gastric Sleeve, not sure if I want this.
