I am a 37 year old wife and mother of two. I have alsways fluctuated some with my weight, but after two kids I struggled a lot to lose even just a few pounds. After the birth of my second child I soon learned that I had a hypothyroid, but even after medication I still struggled to lose weight. I had learned about the lap band and even went to a seminar about it, I really wanted to have it done, but it was and exclusion with my insurance company and figured I'd never have it done because I wasn't sick just very overweight. I recently met someone who had surgery in Mexico, but I couldn't ask, my husband to spend that much money on an elective surgery. My husband saw the email I recieved and when he saw that it was half the price of the U.S. doctors he told me to go for it. Even though I really wanted it I was scared, but I am so glad I did it. I am only three weeks post op, and I am so thankful for this opportunity to be the person that I feel I am inside.
