I had also been wondering if my weight loss was noticable to anyone else. I knew it would come, but I was getting impatient. Last night I was at my son's baseball practice and a friend of mine wanted to know what I had been doing. She went on and on and wanted to know when I was going to buy new clothes. She thought the ones I was wearing were too big! lol! I loved it. I want to wear them everyday. I don't remember the last time I wore something that was too big because I had lost weight.
I love my band!!!!!
Getting ready for the band
Jul 13, 2008
I started out thinking that I wanted RNY. I called my insurance company to find out it WLS was covered and what all I needed to do. I started my 6 mth. supervised diet at .
Went to the information seminar with Dr. Babineau in Tyler and after listening to all the information and asking questions I decided Lap-band was for me.
I continued with my supervised diet, got my nutritional and psychological consultations. However, during that time I went back and forth..."am I doing the right thing"...."maybe I can do this on my own".
I had talked myself out of it by Dec. 2007. I started the new year like so many before - on a diet! I felt like I worked harder trying to keep from gaining weight instead of losing it.
I got the call from Dr. Babineau's office in March saying that I had been approved and it was time to schedule my surgery. I freaked out! I knew that it was do and move on or keep doing what I had always done. I was tired of that, so I scheduled my surgery for April 25th.
