Marie Pletsch

"She had an all business personality with no bedside manor. I dont need that from a Dr. though so her personality is not an issue for me. She seemed very skilled and was extremely concerned with doing a good job. She refused to just do a surgery that the insurance company would pay for..... but that we both would be unsatisfied with. The only drawback is the amount of money it will take me to look like a new person but heck I am worth it!!!!!"

Scripps Mercy Hospital (COE)

"I felt the nurses were extremely overworked. One night I had to wait a half and hour to be unplugged from my IV so I could use the restroom. They also use Nurses from all over the country called travelers so they weren't familiar with the needs of Bariatric patients. I was disappointed with the care but maybe I was expecting to much. The Nurses had way to many patients while I was there to effectively care for all of us."

Laurence Tanaka

"Update***** due to a scheduling mishap Dr. Tanaka performed my surgery. I liked him a lot. He is a big joker not the hard nose I was expecting. (previous comments)I liked Dr. Zorn. His staff was very helpful but busy. He has a lot of patients and it will take a few months to get a surgery date. He really emphasizes aftercare. He believes that patients must excercise to maintain their weight loss. They do have support groups but not in my area. I would rate him a 9 pre-op he was very professional and talked to me like I was an informed patient. "

Judith Olmstead

"I had my psych eval with her. I liked her but it reminded me of a job interview. She asked tons of questions about who I was and what my life has been like. She didn't accept my insurance so 15 minutes cost $150. dollars. She was a little flaky since she took a while to submit my dictation and she never sent me a receipt for insurance reimbursement despite my phone calls to her. She seemed like a nice lady though."
