Hey just wanted to let everyone know I was banded on March 5, 2009. I was so suprised at how well everthing went.  I was off my pain meds two days after the procedure and only taking Tylenol. I was amazed at the speedy recovery and I am back at work after only 7 working days off!! I am down 11 lbs and so excited to begin this new journey in my life!!

I'm so excited I just found out that I got my approval and my surgery date is March 5th 2009!! I'm so excited and I made my descison to go ahead and have the Lap Band!! Just wanted to share that with everyone! Please keep me in your prayers!

Ok so I have completed the majority of my pre-op studies for the WLS. However my dilema is that I only have one month to go on my supervised weight loss with my pcp and I'm still not sure which surgery I am getting. I keep going back in forth between the RNY and the Lapband. I know many people who have had the GBS and had sucess but then have regained quite a bit of their weight back. My mom also works for a GI doctor and has seen many people who have had complications from the surgery. So I would love to hear from all of you out there! Thanks and God Bless! I'm 29 yrs old by the way!
