Hi Shannon, it sounds like you are doing great! During my soft food stage I ate a lot of egg-drop soup. Just whip up an egg (use egg-beaters) and stir it into the boiling chicken broth. I also froze yoplaits and would have one for breakfast. Another thing I ate was malt-o-meal which has more protein than cream of wheat. Keep up the good work!

11/17/01 I just got off the phone with Shannon and she is doing great. She said the pain is not bad at all. It feels like someone punched her in the stomach. The one thing she did mention was she had to watch what the nurse's were giving her to make sure she has only sugar-free juices. She said the morphine made her sick but she said she knew that was going to happen. She asked her doctor if she can go home today but he said she couldn’t go home until tomorrow morning. I am really proud of Shannon, she is our pioneer. You go girl!
