Man, I am so slack.

Jan 26, 2009

Well, haven't I just been the most diligent about updating this.  But I just wanted to post this for posterity:

This morning I weighed 179.5, which is 79.5 pounds lost.  Just thought it was neat the way the numbers fell together.

6 days and counting ... no better time than the present

Jun 21, 2008

I've been putting this off for way too long.  I need to start getting some thoughts, experiences, etc down in writing -- so that I don't forget the little milestones (or step stones) in this journey.
I am so excited about surgery. I am so ready for this to be done. Why?
My feet hurt for the first few steps whenever I get up in the morning, get up out of a chair, get out of the car, etc
I cannot get down on the floor and back up again without looking like a walrus.
I hate sitting in a booth at a restaurant and have the table pushing against my belly.
I want to be able to eat a meal without dropping something on the ample boobage.
I want to feel so positive that I attract positive and reject or ignore negative.
I want to be able to take care of my personal needs more comfortably -- those of you who have been there know what I'm talking about.
I want to be the role model for my son that he deserves in terms of living a healthy, active lifestyle.
I pray that God blesses me with the opportunity to be a wife again, and a mother again. I don't want fertility to be an issue when that opportunity arises.
I want to be able to hold a pencil, knitting needle, computer mouse, tweezers, whatever, for more than two minutes without my hands burning, tingling, and going numb.
Speaking of tweezers, I'm really hoping to see the elimination, or at least a decrease, of the hirsutism (facial hair).  That way I won't have to wield the tweezers daily, and won't have all the bumps on my chin and neck.

I'll have to finish this up later.  But at least now I've started, which they always say is the hardest part.
