I have always had a weight problem for as long as i can remember. I lost 50 lbs back in 1989 but I never learned how to change my eatting habits so it came right back. I have tried so many times I can't even begin to count. I would do pretty good for a few weeks and then back to the old habits. Starve, laxatives, adkitns, Weight watchers, saw a Dietian I really think I have tried it all for living in a rural area,(we don't have Jenny craig or any of that). My daughter looked into having wls but her insurance would not pay. So I got to thinking about how miserable I was so I got on the inetenet and researched and decided to go and see if I could get approved! I went to my semmiar on Sept 8th and started all the paper work and got approved the middle of Nov and had surgery on Dec 12- the happiest day of my life except when I got married and the birth of my two children! I had NO problems at all. When I woke up after surgery the only pain I had was my back from laying on it for so long. I never have been able to lay on my back without it hurting. My pain medince came out of incision right after surgery because of tossing and turning do to my back hurting so bad, and never had any pain med after that. I feel great. I am 3 months post-op and have lost 55lbs and have 40 more to go. I can't wait to get there and be proud of the new me!
