"Dr. McCarty is young and very nice man. I like the fact that he trusted my research and didn't tell me what i already knew. I got to ask questions without being made to feel stupid. He is very respectful to our plight.
He communicates by email with me the same day and doesn't consider my questions bothersome.
I like the most is he is a surgeon, oncology specialist so he is very skilled in surgery and etails. And my other regular doctors know him and trust him. the least i like is that he has only done about 100 open RNY and is just starting lap RNY Dec. 2000. I might be his first!!! He also doesn't have a aftercare program-but that may change with us!!
His staff is sweet but you have to stay on them. She forgot to call to tell me i was approved, she forgot to fax it, it took a week for the letter to get typed and mailed out (once it received at ins-it was the next day approval) so stay on them-sweetly.
he prefers not transecting but will if i understand the increased bleeding risks involved.
