It has been a while since I posted. I was 6 months out on Tuesday!!
I am down 99 lbs since surgery and a total of 118 lbs total! I am enjoying life and living like never before. Looking forward to losing the other 80 pounds. My daughter is getting married in June and I cant wait to go pick out my dress! Sounds funny saying that I am excited to go try on clothes,,,lol. This surgery is absolutely the best thing I have ever done for myself.
I have switched departments at work so I am unable to get on as much as before. I do try to lurk as often as possible to keep up with my OH family. I hope everyone has a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR. Please remember to be safe.

I feel better than I have in years... I have started losing my hair but its ok, I just had it cut off real short to make it easier to fix. Things that I can do now that I could not do 4 months ago include:
-ride 5 miles on bike without stopping
- paint my toenails myself,lol
-fit into a size 22 jeans (getting lose)
-get in the floor and play with my granddaugther without having to have help to get up
-run on the treadmill for a solid 2 minutes without stopping to rest. I know that is not long but it is a start, lol.
There is so much more that I could list. This surgery has saved my life and I am so grateful. Although I was at a stall for about 5 weeks, I still managed to lose 74 pounds and come down from a size 30W (tight) to a 22w (lose) in pants and from a 5x (tight) to a 2x shirt, so I guess I should be pretty proud.

This may sound silly to some who will read it , but I actually painted my own toenails last night!!!! wooo hooo..
I can not remember the last time I could do that. I love my WLS, only wish I had been able to do it alot sooner. I am cleaning out my closet again this weekend, everything is getting way too big...isn't it wonderful !!! I have went from a size 30 pants (that was tight) and 5x shirt to a 3x shirt and size 24 some 22 pants. I will be 2 months out tomorrow. Ok, enough bragging... I hope everyone has a great weekend and thank you to all that have given and continue to give me support ( you know who you are ) and for all the prayers. Please continue to pray for me and family as God knows our needs and I stand firm that HE takes care of his children!!

I went to see my nut yesterday, and I have lost a total of 33.5 pounds since pre-op ( which is what they consider my "surgery weight"). I am so excited. Since starting (my 6 month diet) I have went down 53 pounds! I feel great, looking forward to breaking the 300 mark not too much further to go to get that accomplished. I want to thank everyone for all their prayers and well wishes, so far it has been a great ride!! I will post more when it happens. BTW my BMI is down to 50.3 ( i think is what he told me..lol) LIFE IS GOOD....Tammi

I am back at work today and everything is going good so far. I don't feel too tired, everyone here in the office is real supportive and concerning that I don't over do it. I weighed and I have lost 11 pounds since surgery last Monday! So I am pleased about that and just happy to be back at work. Not much more to update on..... I will post more later as it occurs. Hope everyone reading this has a great day!!

I am home!!! Came home Tuesday and I am feeling fine. Still a little weak but getting my strength back slowly but surely...lol. The Dr. said that everything went real well and I should have no problems. I have been nauseated alot but it is getting better. I surprised Dr. F I think, at my pre op visit on the 5th he said he wanted me to lose 5 more pounds before surgery and on the surgery day I had them weigh me and I had lost 8 1/2 !!! I was soo happy. I am not sure how much I have lost since surgery cause I haven't had a scale in my house in years, but I am going to get one! I look forward to seeing what they say for the first time in my life!! Anyway, thank you to all of you for your prayers and thoughts of me and my family on my surgery date, please continue to keep us in your prayers. I will be in touch more next week ... I am going back to work and will have access to the computer again...lol. Until then God Bless and HUGS to you all!!!! Tammi

Well, went for my pre-op visit to Dr. F yesterday and everything is still on for Monday morning (6/9). I have to be at the hospital at 8:00 a.m and they will get me ready and then.... the train ride begins!!! Anyway, until then I have to drink nothing but water and this stuff called OPTIFAST. Let me tell ya, this stuff is nasty!! but it will be worth it in the long run. I promised to keep everyone updated and that is the latest, so I guess the next time I get to post I will be pre-op and on my way to joining all my friends on the "losers bench". BTW I am down 4.6 more pounds just from last week!! WOO HOO!!! God Bless you all and Please remember me in your prayers.......

WOO HOO!!!! I got the call yesterday evening. My surgery date is June the 9th!!! I have been waiting for sooo long and it is finally happening!!! I can't believe it, still seems like I am dreaming. I have to go this week and have my pre-admission stuff done at the hospital , to the surgeon on the 5th for one last meeting and then to the hospital on the 9th!! My only fear is that I haven't lost enough weight between visits with Dr. F and he is going to postpone my surgery. I have lost about 6 pounds since I saw him last.. so hopefully that will be enough. I will post more as I know......
