4th Surgiversary!

Jan 30, 2010

Had my 4 year post-op on Thursday and all is well. Slightly anemic (but I always was even as a big girl), so time to double-up on the Vitron-C. Still down 130lbs from my highest weight. Planning on losing 5-10lbs this year as I liked my weight better 10lbs ago; I felt better and looked better. I had actually gotten down too far and started looking skeletal; deliberately gained weight but then went too far. This is not a science and thus so hard to dictate.

Always good to have a goal to work towards. My plan is to get back to basics- more protein, no more drinking while eating. Such easy steps that have such great success.

So, if you're new to this journey, let me tell you all that after 4 years I still am incredibly grateful to this operation for giving me my life back. I am in my 50's and in the best heallth. I know I never could have gotten to this point without this surgery.
