CONGRADULATIONS! I know that it was difficult to decide to have the surgery...I know it was for me. I had mine last year, and have lost around 250 lbs. Although there was rough spots and I know that everyone has them, I am proud that you are doing well...and you should be proud too! It's great you have a support system that is dependable...that goes a long way in making a successful recovery. Congradulations again.....btw I wonder if we're related?

I can hardly believe it, 20# gone FOREVER. Well thanks for all your emails and I am just thankful to have support from such caring people like the people on this website. I hope everyone has a great night!

Maria, you have made it home- wonderful your transformation has begun. Don't cheat on your post-op diet- the better your compliance the better your final success. I'm still in the hospital from surgery on the 19th, but hopefully will be heading home soon. See you lighter!!!

Hi Friends, My sweet husband posted for me after surgery and he made an error. I did have my surgery on the 19th of August but I did not come home until the morning of the 21st. I have to return on Tuesday to the Dr. to have my drain tube out and my staples removed. Dr. Ash and Dr. Souza have been wonderful to me. For the first time in my life I am looking forward to being weighed. Well have a great night and I be posting again after my Dr. visit.

Maria - I'm so glad to hear that you are home from the hospital and that things are going well for you as you recover from your WLS. I pray that you will have a minimum of pain and be free of complications in the weeks and months that lie ahead. Can’t wait to see the glowing updates you will provide us with!

Hi, this is Maria's husband. My name is Benny. I don't know if this will get read but I just wanted to let you all know that Maria had her surgery on August 19th. She came home on the 20th. She is doing very well. I am so thankful for all of you who have contributed to this website. It is therapy for you as well as for Maria and me . I wanted her to write to ya'll to let you know she's okay but she just doesn't have the strength. The attitude she has is so positive. I couldn't ask for a better turnout. I don't suppose that I have any more to say, but thank you all and I hope this letter may help out someone out there.
