My story is like so many others. I was never a "skinny" girl growing up. Although, looking back at pictures I wasn't a "big" girl either. A few years after I graduated high school I got married, had two kids and never lost the baby weight. Since then I have tried many, many diets. I've done Jenny Craig, Nutri System, Diet Center, an herbal diet that I can't remember the name of, Atkins, Slim Fast and so on. I lost weight and then always regained it back and a little more. I am 104 pounds more than the day I got married. That is quite an eye opener. I have been interested in the surgery since Carnie Wilson went public with her surgery. I was approved for my surgery back then two weeks after my husband's company closed down and we lost our insurance. THAT WAS FRUSTERATING!! I attempted again 5 years later and my insurance's requirement's made it impossible for me at that time. Two years ago I decided to try one more time. I completed all the requirements and then my doctor's office submitted the wrong height and weight to my insurance and I was denied. A month later my insurance changed to Kaiser and I went through their process again. After surviving Kaiser's "games" I was approved with my first attempt!!! I can't believe it!! I am so excited..I have waited so long for this to happen. So, if I can get through all the red tape and disappointments so can you. I can't wait to become a loser like so many others.
