Hi, my name is Margie. I am 48 years old, have 5 children and 3 grandchildren. I am currently in the education business. I have battled with my weight since I was 10 years old. This was just about the time my little brother Freddy passed away.
I am currently at the weight I was before I gave birth to my 5th child. They say that your body has a memory, and I've come to the conclusion that this is true.
I had originally considered the gastric bypass surgery, but after much research and careful consideration, I came to the conclusion that it was not my first choice. This is why I have opted for the Lap Band. I am a little concerned about my upcoming surgery, but I am more concerned with my loss of energy and my current health. There is no turning back for me now. I have wanted this for over 5 years, and my chance has arrived.
