As of Sunday I am in the normal BMI range.  149.8, 149 today but who's keeping track LOL!  I'm a little obsessed with the scale still.  My stall finally ended and losing again.  Still feeling great.  I have a checkup coming up next month on Valentines day, but no blood draws so should be pretty simple.  I can actually fit into many small shirts now and a size 10 jeans, Still can't get my feet to shrink though,  Hey a girl can hope. But nope still size 9

i'm still doing great.  I had my first stall at 6 months.  It last 4 freaking weeks I was really starting to worry but I just started losing again as of friday.  Still no complications.  Feeling great, getting a little bit of a clothing obsession though.  My daughter loves it. LOL

It's been a while since I've posted.  I'm mostly a lurker.  I'm down to 172 as of this morning 7 more pounds til I'm down 100.
I feel great and am not having any issues.  Well I do have a tiny hemmoroid now but it's almost gone. LOL.  I love my Ds and just wish I'd had it sooner.

I've had my 6 week check up now and won't be seen again for 3 months.  They said I was doing great.  i do have some nausea and vomit everyonce in a while I take pepcid ac and sometimes prevacid and it seems to help.  I have a lot of excess saliva or foam in my mouth and have to spit a lot but they said this will go away.  I'm down to 209.8 as of this morning and thrilled with my surgery.  I haven't had any food intolerances yet and carbs and sugars don't bug me or even give me gas, although I still try to avoid them,  I just had a little episode at that time of the month and ate candy and figured I was in for some gas but nope, no side effects at all.

I'm down to 234 this morning, haven't been this weight in forever.  Very excited and feeling great.  My steristrips are starting to fall off.  Have eaten oyster soup, jello, pudding, frozen yogurt bars, chewed and spit slim jims,  had tuna salad this morning but didn't sit well, split pea soup, sf popsicles, none of my protein shakes are tasting well to me yet, decaf tea w splenda, egg drop soup.  saw some people at my surgery date that are posting scrambled eggs may have to try that soon.

I had my surgery June 4, 2010.  I remember waking up and just being glad I made it through the surgery.  My surgery was an hour and forty five minutes and they used a 40 boughie, 150 common channel,  My appendix and gallbladder were removed.  I didn't get to talk to the surgeon dr berntsen before hand which surprised me but is okay.
I was 259 before more preop diet.  246.3 the morning of surgery.  I was 253.6 the day after surgery .  I am 243 today.

Nightowl came and visited me in the hospital saturday which was nice, I hope I didn't scare her.  I was in some pain while she was there and vomited up my pain meds.  I don't really think my pain was well controlled in the hospital.  I had my surgery friday and was on morphine the nurse aide's would come when called and shoot more morphine into iv it was not controlled by me no magic button. The first night they kept up with it pretty good.  I didn't see dr berntsen at all that day. 
Dr Berntsen came saturday morning and talked to me a little bit said I could have clear liquids now and switched me from iv meds to lortab liquid which was the most vile stuff I have ever tasted in my life.  I had a hard time getting it down they gave it to me in little cups of 15ml saying I could having 2 cups if I want.  It took me an hour to get one down and would work for about 4 hours to make it bearable, usually made me go to sleep as soon as it took effect so I really didn't get to walk much.

i would call nurse when it start to wear off but aides would come and say they'd tell nurse and by the time I got meds it was an hour later and I was hurting pretty bad and then I had to sip it so slow and mix with broth to help keep me from puking it up so it took another hour just to get the meds down.  I did tell them about this but didn't seem to care.  Tried the pill crushed to but it was even worse.  I was pretty miserable in the hospital but took pain meds on way home and like 3ml next morning and then just switched to tylenol on my own.  It wasn't as effective but I was a lot happier cuz it didn't burn my throat or make me throw-up. 

I'm feeling really good today.  Only took one split tylenol and went to walmart.  Going to the movies tonight.  My throat has finally started to stop hurting as of today.  My tummy only aches a bit now.  I am surprised that I'm craving foods (TUNA SALAD)  I guess its head hunger.

Debbie the scheduler called friday and we agreed on Friday June 4, 2010 as DS Day! Starting to worry a little now. It's a lot more real.

I found out I was approved via phone today.  I was getting pretty worried since I was sent a letter asking for more info dietician and one of my 6 month diets didn't qualify.  I saw another dietician on 11th and faxed in a different 6 month diet and it was enough to get the approval.  Waiting on date now.

Tallgrass submited for approval on 3/1/10.  Biting my nails down trying to wait.  I'm praying for an approval.  PLEASE!

I had my Consultation with Dr Bernita Berntsen at Tallgrass surgical, Topeka KS yesterday for the DS.  Everything went great they took front and side preop pics and did a emmi computer program about the ds.  Dr Berntsen seemed very knowledge and ds friendly.  She thought I'd do well with this surgery and said she would use a 40 boughie and 150 common channel.  She said she should be able to do it laproscopically (sp).  I also had my 5 month weigh in with my pcp and met my 10% weight loss goal I have one more month of the dr supervised diet and need to do the psych exam before I can apply for insurance approval.
