"I had my RNY gastric bypass in 1998, by Dr. Sapala when he practiced in Jackson, Michigan. I had my surgery done at Detroit Riverview Hospital. I have had NO complications at all and went from 239 lbs to between 150 and 160 depending on some of my meds that I take. I'm 5'2" and this surgery has made a huge difference in my life. I don't know when or why Dr. Sapala left Jackson, but I wish he would have stayed!"
