Well it's been about 8 years last month, since I had my Gastric bypass surgery.  I've gained back about 50 lbs. I'm currently working with a bariatric doctor to see if my insurance approves the Lap band. 

I've been depressed, hungry and not feeling too good about myself.  Let's see how this time around goes. 

I'm praying that my Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO insurance covers this procedure.  I'll keep you informed.

I am 10 months post op & I feel great!!!!!!  I've lost a total of 91 lbs. & I am down to a size 8.  I've never been a size 8.  

My only regret is not doing the surgery any sooner.  I can't believe that I was so sad & miserable before the surgery.  I would recommend this surgery to anyone.  My only recommendation would be the nutrition counseling.  I had 6 months of counseling & I am truly grateful for it.  I have other friends who had the surgery but their insurance plans did not require nutrition counseling & let me tell you that they were clueless.

I can't wait for Christmas & New Year's Eve.  This year me & my husband are going out dancing all night long!!

Well I'm 2 months post op & I have lost a total of 50 lbs.  I feel great.  My clothes no longer fit so I have to buy smaller sizes.  I no longer snore when I'm asleep & feel well rested when I wake up.  I am sooo glad that I had this surgery.  It's the best thing I could've done for myself.  I take my vitamins & drink protein on a daily basis.  I'm dreading any hair loss but have been told that as long as I'm drinking my protein it might not happen & if it does just not as bad.

I have been working towards my surgery for about 1 whole year now.  I completed my 6 months nutrition counseling that was required by my insurance.  I completed my consultation visit on 12/18/06.  Now all I need is my surgery date.  

If anyone can tell what to expect now.  How many visits do I need before the Surgery.  Julie, the nutritionist told me that I would need 3 visits after the consultation and before the surgery.  But when I spoke to Dr. Quilici he told me that I just needed 1 visit before surgery.  Has anyone gone through this?  Please give me some advise as to how many visits I need.
