Surgery Date

Well I finally have my surgery date for the lap band. It is June 23rd with Dr. Patterson in Portland. It seems like it has been forever to get this scheduled. I go to Portland next week for the pre-op, seeing the nurse practitioner and dietitian, lab work and ekg. Anyone who has had the lap band, is there an average people will lose, say in the first month? See you all at the next support group meeting in June.

Wow, next week I meet with Dr Patterson on the 3rd of April. I am so hoping that surgery can be in the next couple of months after that. People are writing me and giving me much encouragement and I so appreciate it. I plan on definately being at the April meeting and having a chance to meet all of you. Thank you for your support. Mary

I've started a physcian weight loss program in anticipation that my insurance Company will require a three month program before surgery. Wanted to get a head start on the requirements. Hope to be able to come to the second support group meeting April 30th.
