well lets see im now 24 years old. i had gastric bypass on 11/17/2006. I was heavy all of my life. i playd sports in highschool, but never could lose the weight. I made the decisison to have gastric bypass 2 years ago. my first attempt was shot down due to my insurance not covering the surgery and me not being able to afford to pay cash. when i made the decision to have the surgery again i started the process in january of 06 and was approved. finally a relief... i then had to tell my family and friends. my parents and brother were so supportive my mom went to the seminar and my dad went to the pre op classes with me. my friends and co workers gave me alot of mixed feelings but ultimately supported me.
