Time for revision
Mar 22, 2026
3/22/26 - I am in the process of revision from Lap Band to the Sleeve. My decision was made due to 22 years of Lap Band, and I have restrictiion before the lap band for about two years. This had made a problem with eating, and my new surgeon and facility feel this is the best option. Also, it's time to get back on track and get rid of my regain (Originally I had 138 lbs off, but now only 60 lbs of that original 138 lbs remains off. I need to take the regain of 78 get that off again, and then go past that to my next goal.)
The Lap Band was a success for me. Twenty-two years helped me to get to 180 and keep a lot of it off for many of those years, it also helped me not gain past 318 lbs, which I know I would have if I never decided on the Lap Band.
Now, my second decision and commitment to this process is in from of me. May 18th is surgery date, and in a new state (we moved from NY to SC), and I am ready for the updated change.
10 years and counting...

72% off (95 lbs of the 133 total at my lowest) still remains off. So successful yes. Best decision I ever made. Do I still need to remind myself to work my tool properly YES!
