Meg!!!! I was so happy to hear from you this past week, I seriously had been thinking of you that very morning. Hope all went well with the Dr. that day. I am excited to report my surgery date is May 19th with Dr McFarlin in the QC's. Thank you for your journal, as I read it I felt many of the same things. The loss of a loved one, especially your daddy, is never easy. My heart went out to you as I read your posts. Please accept my condolences on his passing. I am sure he's watching over you. Take care and keep me posted! I will be in touch!

This is her husband again. Meg's surgery went fine on Tuesday. I was able to spend the day with her, though she was pretty far out of it because of the pain medication. Unfortunately, I had to come home and take care of our kids Wed. thru today. Meg's mom drove her home earlier today and she is home and doing as well as can be expected. She is still very uncomfortable and tired, but she seems to be doing well. Will update more when there is more to update.

Congratulation on your upcoming surgery! The next year is going to be the most amazing of your life. I know that you must feel as anxious and nervous as I did ten months ago. But soon this waiting game will only be a memory and you will be on to your new life. I am 10 months post op and I have lost 130 pounds. I went from a size 24 to a 4 in a little over 6 months. Miracles do and will happen for you. I have tried to keep a profile that can be used as a resource for pre-ops. That answers all of the questions that I had when I was in your shoes. And links to various places to do more of your own research. If you have any questions or just need someone to talk to that understands please feel free to email me. Meg, Here we go. I got a call today that says my surgery will be at 5:30 am. I hope Dr. Boe is a morning person. I better plan on bringing him a cup of coffee, What do you think. Anyway, take comfort to know he will be all warmed up and ready to go when he does your surgery. Good luck, Hope to meet you in Belvidere. Chris
