I was a fat kid, a fat adult, and soon will be a lighter older adult. I am a wife, mother of college kids, owner of three dogs including a puppy, do jewelry repair and design, have small business selling my jewelry, Helga's Sparkles, taking jewelry classes at night, do gardening, collect rock ands minerals, go to mines to go through their tailings looking for gemstones, enjoy reading, cooking and our RV although, we can't afford to drive it at the moment, love poker, enjoy shopping and casinos. Retiring 3 years ago simply meant starting a totally new phase. I got meningitis and a blood clot after coming back from vacation and decided I needed time to recover and recoup. When I joined the local health club I could barely walk in without stopping to catch my breath. Water aerobics helped a lot but I was forced to deal with a long list health issues. So now, my RNY should help the diabetes and the Achilles heel tendonitis. Time will tell about all the rest. Until then it is full speed ahead with life.
