Melinda, it's great to hear you are at home and doing okay. I wanted to check on you but didn't know which hospital you were in. I was in Shreve-port on that day(Dec.14,2001).I will be praying for your fast recovery. LUV YOU

Hello, I also have BC/BS PPO. It is Blue Prefered PPO but I had no problem at all. You just have to fight with them. My plan also had an exclusion for the treatment of obesity. But since it IS medically necessary for me to have the surgery I was approved NO PROBLEM!! I am 24 years old. I have a family history of diabetes. I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and hyperinsulinemia. But no MAJOR comorbities. I urge you to fight with your insurance. If they say no once and you except it then they have won. You pay them money each month for their coverage. I think that they should pay and I would appeal until I was blue in the face. You and I have the same date.
