Hi Nancy, It sounds like in your depression you are turning back to old habits. Try not too. What you have accomplished so far is not even sort of a failure. You have so little left to lose to get where you want to be. This plateau is just another step in the process. I am battling the same thing. I am only 8 weeks post op, but I have plateaued twice (once right now) and have only lost 39 lbs. It is hard to keep on fighting for health. But you can. Don't feel like a failure, you have done great so far.. keep on tryin. Tami

NANCY-- I was on the EXACT SAME plateau... I was at 202 for over 3 weeks! and I finally was able to get over that plateau and I am now down to 199! Hang in there, you can do it.

Hey Nancy I was also wondering about fed insurance covering reconstructive surgery if you find out anything let me know if you could. I have hmo blue of tx and I am currently waiting for surg (open rny) in November but for the future I would love to know what insurance is the best for reconstructive surgery.

I too am a patient of Dr.Alexander's. My surgery was 08/14/01. I must say it is the best think I have ever done for me. Although I have to agree with you that there may be over load of patients to office staff there. Even as a post-op my waits in his office are usually anywhere from 30 minutes to and hour, very frustrating. However the way I look at it is I researched the other docs in my area and none have the success rate that Dr. A has that and you are right I do believe he cares. You will be in my prayers on 12/27 and if you need anything at all just email me [email protected]. Your friend in WL, Deirdre
