Congratulations baby girl on losing 45 lbs in 7 1/2 weeks. As usual I am very proud of all your accomplishements.

Michelle is 10 days post op and doing well. Her staples itch and she tires easily, but is walking, walking, walking and drinking her liquids. Her friends are taking very good care of her and hopes to see you at the May 20 support meeting.

My daughter was having so much trouble with pain. I asked her covering surgeon why I didn't have that pain. He is the head of surgery at Danbury Hospital. Instead of giving me the usual everyone's different, he explained it. It depends on muscle. The more muscle they have to cut through, the more pain you have. Since I was an out of shape old fart, they just cut through fat. He said that when they cut through the athletic type, they suffer the most. So my theory that oldies are stronger painwise has been smashed. But, at least I feel better about my daughter's pain. Live and Learn Live and Learn. Fay Bayuk. Michelle comes home today. Miichelle sounds so good since I am talking to her right now. I can't believe for a person who just had surgery yesterday she sounds so strong, clear and happy -not druggy happy. She has her mom there watching over her and I'm sure she's loving every minute of that extra attention. She had her leak test today and passed with flying colors. GO MICHELLE!!!! Congratulations and welcome to the other side.
