My Big day is FRIDAY!!

Well after many unsuccessful attempts at weight loss, this is my final destination. My big day is finally here after a year of insurance requirements and waiting on the insurance approval...my surgery date is set for February 11, 2011. Dr. Kroh at the Cleveland Clinic will be doing my surgery. He is awesome! I went to my pre-op on Monday and I do the bowl prep tomorrow (Wednesday) and start the clear liquids. I am so sick of the vanilla protein shakes at this point that I dread drinking another one. BLAH!! At my highest weight I was 310 lbs when I started the liquid protein diet on January 28th I was 299 lbs. I am down 16 pounds so far before surgery. I had been down a little lower than the 299 at one point but there was a mess with forgetting to sending my file to the insurance company, insurance denying it because they forgot to send enough information, and just a little frustration of getting down to the deadline of appeal time. I gained a little back!In the end it was approved...the insurance company was awesome through it all!! I am ready for a new lifestyle so I can keep up with my kids, have energy and enjoy life again!!
