I started my weight loss journey February 2012. I always knew I had an issue with my weight, I didn't know how bad it was. During my first visit to Rex Bariatric center I discovered I weighed 454 pounds. From that day I set my new weight would be 250 lbs. That meant I had to lose over 200 pounds to reach that mark. I started my workout routine the following week, 30 minutes on the treadmill and 30 minutes weight training. I also stopped drinking soda after my first visit with Dr Sharp. I exercised 4-5 days a week from February to October, during that time frame I lost 50 pounds. I was now ready to have gastric surgery which will continue my weight loss process to make sure I reach my goal. With the help of the surgery I was able to lose 224 pounds which exceeded my initial goal.
