"I had my consultation with Dr Smoot on August 8th 2003. I can not say enough good things about the Doctor and his staff. He is one of the most caring and informative Doctors I have ever met. He took the time to answer all my questions and answer all of my friends questions as well. He made sure we understood the answers. He also told us his patients become like family to him and he really cares what happens to them. He is very upfront about the risks of surgery and the problems he has encountered in the past. He also is VERY STRICT about aftercare and says if you can not follow the program as they have it set, you can go home now! They KNOW their program works and want people to succeed. I feel very blessed and safe in his hands and would recommend him without reservations. His staff was organised and very helpful. The office was very obese friendly, nice big couches instead of little tiny chairs with arms. This group is a winner!"
