Dear Melissa, Congratulations on your 30 days without smoking. I quit 2 years, 2 months, and 20 days ago and , although I do still occasionally miss it, I have never regretted it. I am a nurse and one of my patients told me when I first quit that a craving only lasts 7 minutes and then it goes away. Now you have to understand that this was coming from a crank addict so I was very touched by this statement. If she could get off crank I certainly could successfully quit smoking!! Only 7 minutes...We are addicts to nicotine forever, like alcoholics and can't EVER smoke again, even one drag. Good luck, my AMOS friend, I look forward to hearing about your progress. Julie Smith

Congratulations on your 30 smoke free days. I know it must be hard but keep up the good luck... in addition, congratulations on having your date moved up. You will be on the losing side before you know it. Take care and keep smiling...:)

I'm wishing you a successful surgery and a quick, easy recovery. I had my open RNY on Dec. 10, 2001 and I'm very happy that I did. It truly was the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you begin your new, healthier life.
