Hey guys! Just wanted to take a sec to thank all of you for all the love and support youve shown on my support page. As of today I am down to 234.5! I began my journey at 258. If any of you have any ideas for meals please let me know! Cant seem to get all my water and liquid in and I manage to eat maybe once a day and still only 2 ounces.

Carol, so glad that you are home and feeling somewhat better. Just remember the more you walk the faster the gassy feeling will leave. Just grit your teeth and do it. Take it from the queen of surgery here, I had 13 so far and this is the best advice I can give. I will be keeping you in my prayers for a speedy recovery and a return to full strength as soon as possible. Blessings to you as you continue on your journey.

Well here I am once again, Carol says that she can't sit in her computer chair yet, but as soon as she can sit in it she will be making her post. She is home and doing good, she stillis having a little pain, and is real gassy feeling, other than that she is doing good. She is walking to the mailbox and back and getting aroung good. I am glad she is doing better than I did the first few days, LOL.

Hi Carol! Welcome to the other side and keeping you in my prayers for a speedy recovery... You are in my thoughts and prayers as you begin your post-op journey. I hope your experiences will be as positive as mine have been. Hopefully all of the pre-op and struggles of being newly post-op will soon be a distant memory as you enjoy the success of your efforts!

Well, this may be my last posting for Carol, she did get to go home today. I know that she will be on here making her own post within a day or so. Lets keep the words of confidance coming for her, cause those of us that have been through this know that we need all the pats on the back as well as all the prayers that we can get. Carol, I want to thank you for being there when I needed someone and I hope that I have been there for you as much as you have been for me, You are a very special friend, thank you! Grady

Carol got to move to a regular room yesterday 09/23/03 about 04:00pm. She got up this morning and went for a walk though the halls, and is waiting for DR. Mathews to come through and let her go home. While walking she weighed and had lost 11lbs already! Way To Go Girl! Keep it up and you'll get down to your goal be for I do! She said that the first day she was in lots of pain from the gas, but is doing a lot better and can't wait to get home to her own coach, and I know that she misses the kids. Maybe she will be home soon today and can make the next update! Later gaters...

Way to go Carol! They did the Perk Test this morning and everything was great! Well, she didn't do t all by herself, Dr. Mathews did the work, and the Good Lord steadied his hands. She is still in an SICU room, but should be moved to a regular room sometime this evening. If anyone would like to send her a card you can do it though Birmingham Baptist Medical Center Princeton's website at: http://www.bhsala.com/careCards/index.asp Be sure to mark it for Baptist Princeton. They will deliver it directly to her even if she is moved or goes home. Later...
