"Make certain that you demand what you NEED. Your visitors may end up feeling as though they are staff because the staff isn't around much. I was up to 22 hours immediately post op with no pain meds because they were leaking onto the floor...I was told over and over again after complaining of intense pain, that I shouldn't feel so awful.
