Since May, I have completed my 6 month nutritional counseling and it was very helpful, jumped through all the insurance hoops of tests and lab work, wrote my 5 year dieting history, which was a depressing things to do having to write about your failures for the last five years (insurance companies have a special place in h*ll) and increased my fluid intake while decreasing my carb intake.
On October 21st (anniversary date for my hubby and I), my information was submitted for insurance approval. And a mere two weeks late, i was approved and scheduled for a November 21st surgery date! WOO HOO!!!!
I had the WLS as scheduled and for the first few days, felt like someone hod run over me with a car, several times. But, today I am 100% back to normal with the exception of my healing boo boo's on my belly.

Other than that, life is going on as it should. I am looking forward to completing my insurance and doctor required exams on June 5th and June 9th so that all I need to do from that point on is continue my 6 month physician weight loss program. I am about to go into my 2nd month....4 more to go!

Attended that info meeting....seems good...so lets go forward with the consult.
Consult done! I have good news and not so good news. Not so good news...I need a documented weight loss program for six months according to the insurance company along with a dozen different tests, lab work, and personal documentation.
The good news is that today is the start of month one. I hope the next six months fly by.

On April 28th, as I was driving home from work, I saw a billboard about weight loss and taking control of your life. I sent myself an email from my phone to check out St. Agnes. And I actually did it that evening. I realized that they had an info seminar scheduled for April 30th AND it was a requirement before any consult could happen.
What the heck...I registered for the info seminar.
