Mendi, you look so great.. We have alot in common.. I had surgery 4-17-03, I weighed 328 pounds on the morning of surgery.. You have come a long way and look so amazing.. So go ahead an pat yourself on the back.. You have done it.. Congratulations to you.. I really enjoyed reading your profile. It helps me to see some changes that I will be going through also.. Thanks so much for sharing your story..

One year today! I am officially one year post-op, and have lost 155 pounds since surgery. I weigh 173 and will tell anyone! I'm wearing a 12 to accommodate my pannus, but own a few 10's I love too. Who would have ever guessed? I never dreamt I could feel so good and be so healthy, I never dreamt that I could be THIS SMALL!!! God has been so good to me, not only can I celebrate these milestones, but have found He truly blessed me with wonderful friends and family and husband. The "old" ones and the "new" ones (friends - family and husband are pretty consistent LOL!) I met through this surgery and support groups. They all have celebrated and struggled with me, and I love them all dearly. I need to get pics on my page, I'm working on it! Thank you AMOS for being here - I am sure I'd have gotten lost along the way if I couldn't come in here 5 days a week and ground myself in knowledge and support. WE did it!

Hello and thank you all! Almost two weeks out from surgery and its complications and finally back on-line! I did have my gallbladder removed as dear Dawn reported, then I had a little bit of a problem with my hemoglobin count and had 4 pints transfused day 3 and 4. I was in the hospital from June 3 - 8, and home has been great. I had a fever a few days ago, my cautious surgeon sent me for blood work and chest x-rays - and I just have a bladder infection, praise the Lord! I am so in awe at all the prayers and well-wishers. Thank you so much!

Mendi made it through surgery just fine. The Dr did have to take her gallbladder. When I saw her today I was amazed at how wonderful she looked. Continue to pray for Mindi to have a fast and easy recovery!
