Getting better little by little...
Feb 26, 2009
I don't have a lot of time right now, but I am on vacation and wanted to update!I still am at 200 lbs, but I am okay with that! I am now a 14/16 and am so thrilled! I was a 34 at my heaviest.
I am loving being thin and having energy to do things. But I think I mentioned somewhere earlier that I have been really struggling with my mental health - Bipolar and Depression due to meds not absoribing right. It feels that that is FINALLY getting more under control.
Also the problem of not sleeping at night, sometimes going a week with no sleep... That is getting better, too, mainly due to the fact I have cut way down on caffeine. I still go thru phases.
I do not really watch out on what I eat, just smaller portions of everything. I have been very active, going to the gym 3-4 days a week and just really getting in physical activity wherever I can.
I cannot believe how easy it is to get up and move around and have stamina to do things I never thought possible! Right now we are on our way to Florida in our 5th wheel and I can't wait to get to the state park we are staying at to go hiking and other fun things! I love to do outdoor things now, instead of just watching TV and laptopping!!! LOL
I am going to run for now, but just wanted to throw this post out into the wide open to see if I can get any responses.
I also am going to look for some support on the boards as far as mental health issues to see if anyone else struggles and how they cope.
I know they tell you before surgery that losing the weight isn't going to "fix" other things that are wrong and that is so true. I still see that 340 lb person when I look in the mirror. Very odd, huh? *sigh*
