I had the lap band November 13,2007.  Little  success. I was approved for revision surgery RNY bypass in June 2010 and August 9, 2010 I had RNY bypass with the Lap Band still in place at KU Medical Center by Dr. Naizy Selim. Surgery went very well. I was the first patient of Dr. Selim that successfully accomplished keeping the band in. By success I mean my band hadn't eroded at all, if so my doctor was going to take it out and I would have to have the RNY bypass surgery in six weeks, BUT I was a success no erosion, the band was just there.  Now I am about 15 days post op and I feel wonderful!!!
