Must be the FRENCH fries

Aug 19, 2008

I was reading other posts and laughed when others related their weight issues to having a French background.  How true it is!  Our ancestors' diets of pork, potatoes and sugar pie surely doesn't help.  Ah well, that's all history now. It's up to us to change the future.

I am reading all that I can and reading the posts on OH.  Having read the "What can go wrong" posts rattled me a bit, I admit.  But look at this way I told myself - You fly all the time and your plane lands every time.  The only time we hear about planes in the news is when one crashes.  So there!

Just came back from a two week trip to China with DH.  Would have enjoyed it more had I not been so out of breath walking around Hong Kong in the  38 degree / 80% humidity weather.  Great trip though and glad we went!  Next time I hope to take the train through five European countries.

On another note......OHIP approval is in.  Consult with Dr. Graber booked (but not soon enough as far as I am concerned - even asked to be put on cancellation list).  I am getting impatient.  Am concerned about having to take time off after surgery as I decided to change to a new position with less stress only last year.  Asked my sister to accompany me for my consult as hubby needs to look after our son.  She agreed, so it will be a great shopping day!

Until next time.....
